Water Boss Water Softener

The Water Boss Water Softener is a treatment system that provides clean, soft water to the entire home. With the average person using approximated 70 gallons of water each day, it understandable why so many people seek out a water purification system.

Process of softening water

These water softeners contain resin beads, and through a process called “ion exchange” the ions in the hard water are replaced with the soft ions in the resin beads; resulting in softer water.

This article identifies three products manufactured by the Water Boss Water Softener system to alleviate hard water issues.

Top models of the Water Boss Water Softening Systems

Water Boss Water Softener Model #700, 22,000 Grain Capacity

This model is a medium capacity water purification system for the home. The softeners in this model are designed to use less water than other competitor’s water softener systems for home use.

Inherent in this system is a dirt and sediment filter that is designed to be maintenance and trouble free. Components include the lines, the filter, which is the resin beads that attract the calcium and magnesium ions in the untreated water as it passes through.

The brine tank which houses the sodium solution that replaces the calcium and magnesium, and the mineral tank where the filtered water passes and stored for additional softening. The backwash, recharge, and rinsing phases are the regeneration cycles that allow this model to produce the purified water.

The major complaints regarding this model include the malfunction of the LCD electronics board after about three years; however, this seems to be a minor complaint compared to the customer service complaints of rude technical representatives and a poor attitude towards consumers.

Water Boss Water Softener Model #900, 36,400 Grain Capacity

This system is a larger capacity home water softening system. This model’s purification system is also designed to use a reduced amount of water than other competitor’s models of a comparable size. Intrinsic in this system is a filter removing the grime and residue that is intended to be maintenance and trouble free.

Components include the filter which includes the resin beads that extract the calcium and magnesium ions in the unprocessed water as it passes through. It also includes the appropriate lines, the brine tank which houses the sodium solution that substitutes the calcium and magnesium with sodium.

The mineral tank where the filtered water is stored for additional softening processes. The regeneration cycles include the backwash, recharge, and rinsing phases that produce the purified water.

The major complaints regarding this model include the model stops regenerating the water during part of the day when it is set in “Delay” mode, and the ribbon cable from the hall sensor for the water flow corroding; however, this seems to be a minor complaint compared to complaints of rude representatives and a poor attitude towards consumers.

Water Boss City Water Softener Model #950

Finally, the model #950 is a quiet water purification system for the home. It includes a built-in dirt and residue filter that efficiently removes lead and other contaminants that reduces that awful chlorine taste and rotten-egg or sulfur smell.

This model is rated at a 22,000 grain capacity with a 10 micron sediment removal capacity. The on-demand regeneration system requires only 12 to 16 gallons of water and two-and-one-half to four pounds of sodium.

The regeneration cycle takes approximately 18 minutes, depending on the saline setting of this model. There are easy-to-use controls that allow the consumer to set the softness levels and add salt. There are no complaints logged regarding this model at this time.

What’s in for the customers?

The Water Boss Water Softener system contains a built-in, self-cleaning grime and residue filter that reduces or eliminates the chemicals and dirt in the water.

Providing clean water for drinking, bathing, laundry, cooking, and all other needs for fresh, hygienic water in the home. Three of their models provide trouble-free and reliable methods of turning hard water into soft in an easy, affordable manner.
